Few players bend a game to their will like Alyssa Thomas, the WNBA's all-time leader in regular-season and playoff triple-doubles. On May 9, 2026, the Phoenix Mercury walked into Las Vegas to watch the Aces collect the championship rings won at Phoenix's expense, then made the rest of ring night their own. Thomas fed DeWanna Bonner on the wing, slipped open for the instant return feed, and finished a tough right-handed layup off the glass. Soon after, she jumped the passing lane to strip Chelsea Gray and pushed ahead to a streaking Kahleah Copper for two in transition. The six-time All-Star and seven-time All-Defensive honoree, fresh off a top-three MVP finish in her debut Phoenix season, powered a 99-66 rout with 20 points, six rebounds, nine assists and three steals on 9-of-17 shooting.
