There are comebacks, and then there are statements, and Shakira Austin made sure this one counted as both. The Washington Mystics found themselves down 14 points on the road against the Portland Fire before Austin took over, willing her team back into the game with a new career-best 31 points on 11-of-18 shooting to go with 10 rebounds. Her running layup was part of a relentless interior assault that kept the Mystics alive until Georgia Amoore sealed it with two free throws with 4.2 seconds remaining, 105-100.
