With her Los Angeles Sparks trailing by two with time running out in regulation, Brown weaved her way around a double screen at the top of the key before utilizing a hesitation move to blow by her defender into the lane for a game-tying layup with 12 seconds on the clock. The 2021 WNBA champion also hit a 3-pointer with a minute left in overtime to secure a four-point lead the Sparks would not relinquish. Brown shot 11 for 16 for a game-high 26 points to go with three rebounds as her squad prevailed 99-93 over the Phoenix Mercury on June 2, 2023.
