Likely aware — even if his eyes didn’t confirm it — of the added attention headed his way as he entered the Milwaukee Bucks’ NBA Cup play without two All-Star sidekicks, Giannis Antetokounmpo came, saw, and ultimately conquered through a no-look pass. So far, so successful in his goal of helping the shorthanded Bucks survive, Antetokounmpo, cushioned by a 13-point lead, puts the Toronto Raptors’ defense through a two-man-game maze alongside his sharpshooting teammate. Catching Ochai Agbaji’s eyes not on his own test upon receiving the basketball once more, the eight-time All-Star teaches a lesson, slinging a one-handed, no-look dish to the weak side, setting up a different 3-point sniper for an advantageous bucket. The two-time Most Valuable Player’s command and leadership, fittingly, proved invaluable in the well-controlled win on November 12, 2024. In a performance sandwiched in between a 43-point showing prior to, and a 59-point demonstration thereafter, Milwaukee’s superstar cooked up a 23-point outing (on 9-of-12 shooting), accompanied by four rebounds, seven assists, and four blocks.
