Cooper Flagg arrived in Dallas as the most hyped rookie in years, and moments like this are exactly why. With the Mavericks shorthanded and clinging to a one-point deficit late in the fourth quarter, the 1st overall pick snatched a defensive rebound off a missed Giannis jumper and drove the length of the floor to convert a go-ahead layup with 28 seconds left, putting Dallas up 113-112. Flagg finished with a then season-high 26 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in 45 minutes against Milwaukee, becoming the youngest player in NBA history to drop 26 in a game.
