The New Orleans Pelicans brought back the same aesthetic they’ve rolled with ever since their 2013 rebrand for their Icon and Association jerseys. With their Statement jersey, they once again swapped out the city name to emblazon Pelicans across the chest on a tertiary red. Knowing they’ve found a vibe that works given the implicit culture of the city they call home, the team took a familiar approach to its City Edition uniform, rocking somewhat of an inverse version of a Mardi Gras-inspired look they had experimented with previously, headlined by three solid horizontal stripes along the front and a ‘NOLA’ wordmark across the chest.
