Not every game-changing play shows up in the scoring column, and Kon Knueppel understands that better than most. Playing for the Charlotte Hornets in a competitive New Year's Eve matchup, the small forward surveys the floor, waits for exactly the right moment, and delivers a pass that puts a teammate in position to convert. The assist is the kind of read that only comes from a player with genuine court awareness. Charlotte fell 132-125, but Knueppel's playmaking ability was a genuine bright spot in a spirited effort from the Hornets.
