SCANNING THE MARKETPLACE…
The NBA had gone more than four years without a 60-point game when Tracy McGrady went to work on March 10, 2004. He got there in every way available, and the signature touch was a drive through the middle of the Washington defense finished with a twisting layup laid high off the glass. McGrady closed with 62 points on 20-of-37 shooting, 5-of-14 from deep and 17-of-26 at the line, plus 10 rebounds and five assists in a 108-99 win. It remains both his career high and the Orlando franchise record. The two-time scoring champion and seven-time All-Star was named All-NBA in each of his four seasons with the Magic and reached the Naismith Hall of Fame in 2017.
