Allen Iverson had 32 points and the ball, and everyone in the building assumed he was taking the shot. Detroit assumed it too. With Philadelphia down 121-120 and 8.4 seconds left in overtime on December 20, 1999, Iverson pushed the length of the floor without a timeout, and when the double came he gave it up to Aaron McKie, who swung it to the last man anyone was worried about. Eric Snow pump-faked one defender into the air, faked the pass back, and rose from the wing. The 16-footer dropped at the buzzer for a 122-121 win and the bench emptied. Snow was on his way to a career-best 7.6 assists per game and the league's Sportsmanship Award that season.
