Phoenix owned the best record in basketball and still needed every last tick of this one. The Lakers hung around all evening on April 6, 1993, trading buckets with a Suns team that would reach the Finals two months later, and the thing refused to break either way. Then the ball found the swingman whose nickname was built for exactly this. Dan Majerle rose as the horn closed in and buried the shot that gave Phoenix a 115-114 win, one of three triples on his night. Kevin Johnson poured in 32 and Charles Barkley added 23 points and 11 rebounds, but Thunder Dan supplied the ending with 20 points, four rebounds, eight assists and three steals.
