Undrafted guards from Fajardo do not usually get the ball with the game even and the clock nearly gone. Carlos Arroyo had spent the season proving Utah right anyway. The Jazz and Nuggets were level in the closing seconds on March 27, 2004 when Raja Bell found him with the pass, and Arroyo rose and knocked down the two that ended it for an 85-83 win. Five months later he would hang 24 points on the United States in Athens and lead Puerto Rico to one of the great upsets in Olympic basketball, tugging at the crest on his jersey as he walked off. This was the night Utah learned what the rest of the world was about to.
