Paul Pierce's number hangs in the Boston rafters now, but on February 5, 1999 he was a 21-year-old walking onto the FleetCenter floor for the first time. The 10th pick from a draft that produced three Hall of Famers spent his opening possessions announcing himself at the defensive end, meeting Doug Christie at the rim twice on the same Toronto trip. Then he went the other way, drove through the middle of the lane and dropped a soft floater for the first basket of his career. A 19-year run followed, carrying 10 All-Star selections, a Finals MVP award and the 2008 championship banner. Pierce closed the night with 19 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two steals and four blocks.
