An offense built through one-of-a-kind bucket-getters and capable spot-up shooters, as the Phoenix Suns have long learned, is only as good as the floor general delivering them the ball. Historic in his ability to dish without turning the basketball over, Tyus Jones found that during his first week-and-a-half in the desert, assists — and victories — arrived with expedited shipping. Finding the ball to be moving faster than the Dallas Mavericks’ defense could manage, Jones applies extra pressure, driving inside with his eyes peeled for uncovered teammates. Accurate in throwing to a spot, Jones hits a teammate in-stride for a corner triple, pushing Phoenix’s early-game lead to nine. Highlight setups arrived in numerous ways, as Jones helped keep the Suns’ offense on schedule during November 8, 2024’s win. The newly-acquired point guard collected 17 points (on 7-of-13 shooting), accompanied by five assists, one steal, and three triples, as Phoenix moved to 8-1.
