Unbothered by neither the sight of Santi Aldama’s 6-foot-11 frame, nor any could-be contest, Powell detonates, soaring towards the rim for a one-handed facial. Settled into an absolute heatwave during the pre-All-Star break stretch, Powell — averaging 24.2 points per game from January 1 to date — supplied the energy needed to propel Los Angeles to a much-needed win over a like-minded Wild West foe. Among six different Clippers in double-figure scoring, Powell finished with 18 points (on 7-of-14 shooting), five rebounds, two assists, two steals, and a 3-pointer.
